Hi, has any of you guy's tried out this guitar, it's a Epiphone Black Beauty guitar, I am seriously thinking of buying this guitar, i have tried out the Epiphone's they have here at my local store, and they play nice (I really want a Gibson, but cant afford one ) They usually sell for $1,165.00, but this one's going for $699.99. I'm gonna be saving $465.01, buying from here, So i was wandering, if anyone here has tried one, as I will be buying this one unseen, and would like some input about playability, build, etc, Here's the link to the guitar. www.guitarcenter.com/Epiphone-Les-Paul-Black-Beauty-Electric-Guitar-100144290-i1149989.gcThanks in advance

Hey Hitman, Ephiphone's are OK guitars, i have not tried this particular guitar out, but i have heard good thing's about it, The price is excellent, thats $1,000. off, plus you have a 30 day return policy on this guitar So if your not happy with the guitar, you can send it back, and either swap it for another guitar, or get your money back, yes that cant be bad. here's some reviews that I've read about this guitar,-----------------------> A well made guitar with quality looks and a great sound, although I don't use the middle pickup setting very much, haven't really found it provides much emphasis. The only two little faults (of which I was aware before I bought) have been a crackly pickup switch, sorted with switch cleaner, and the strap pins kept coming loose, I have replaced them with Strap Locks and glued the pins - problem sorted. I play it thu Zoom G2 pedal and Alessis wildfire 60 amp, loads of power and brilliant sounds. I would need some convincing to pay out for a genuine Gibson.
#2 review First thing to say is that I absolutely adore this guitar. I've only been playing a few years but in that time I've had a lot of guitars in my hands and this is one of the few that I've been unable to let go of. Unmistakably a Les Paul Custom in shape (and weight), this lies at the top end of the models that Epiphone can produce, both in looks and tone. I totally fell for this guitar, with it's beautiful deep black laquer, cream edging and three gold covered pickups before I'd even laid a finger on it.
Now for the specifications: Mahogany/alder body and top Fitted mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard Block inlays 22 frets 2 volume and 2 tone controls 3 way pickup switch 3 Gibson designed humbuckers. Gold hardware. Triple cream binding, Headstock diamond inlay
Like I said, I love everything about the guitar, even it's weight. It might be a bit of a backbreaker, but I play sat down most of the time anyway, and it all adds up to giving it great sustain. The neck is typical Les Paul too, nice and fat. I realise this might not be to everyones taste but it seems to suit me fine. The pickups are good, particularly the neck (rhythm) which has a lovely, creamy mellow tone for those moments when I like to kid myself I can play like Slash. If I'm honest I rarely use the middle pickup setting (or the middle pickup) as it doesn't seem to add a great deal to the party, although it does make this guitar look so pretty.
You get a great range of tones from this guitar from Blues to AC/DC style rock to Guns n Roses right through to punk. Clean tones are also very good. For the price you'd have to go a long way to try and beat this guitar for looks, sound or build quality. Ok, it's not a true Gibson, but it runs it a close second for less than half the price. I have a mate with a music shop who can't get hold of one of these from Epiphone so he's badgering me for mine. Needless to say, he's more chance of knitting fog than getting it.
I found this on you-tube, a demonstration of the Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty, So far it's all good, he's got some nice tones on his Epi in that vid, I hope this helps you

Hey thanks cofi yeah, your right, I have got so many day's to try it out, and if i don't like it i can send it back, I've always wanted the three pick up Les Paul, after seen Frampton using one, i know it's not a Gibson, especially the Peter Frampton's Signature Les Paul, but I've heard it's the next best guitar to it, I'll let you all know Thanks again bro
