Hi all newbie here, so look out for my newbie questions ;D Well I've been playing guitar for 4 years, I started at (14 then I've took a 2 years break) , I first started guitar because listening to my stepfathers Blues records, and I fell in loved guitar, I'm 18 now and in a rock band, but problem is, I've always wanted to play Blues but I found rock and havent stopped plying rock till now, I want to go back to why i fell love with guitar, which is play Blues, My question is are there any sources that could help me past the basics which i know pentatonic scale, Thanks Greeny

Right then, to answer your question, IMO, well first, I'd get myself a real solid guitar blues book, or a DVD, (if your anything like me, I learn better watching than reading)
Then I would listen to some of the blues greats. The likes of *Peter Green*, *Freddie King*, B B King, T-Bone Walker, *Albert Collins*, Buddy Guy, early *Eric Clapton*, *SRV*, There are a lot more great players, but with these guy's, you have a good mix of different styles of playing the Blues, I don't think you can beat being exposed and listening to this music,
Also, another thing I like do is, I like to play along with/to the Cd's, It helps with learning the licks and phrasing.

#1- Get a good instructional blues book, #2- Find a good tutor, but make sure he teaches the blues that you like and want to play, #3- Have fun playing it ;D
